The Laboratory of Genomic and Post-Genomic Technologies in Animal Husbandry was established with the support of the National Project "Science and Universities" in 2024.
The laboratory's activities are aimed at performing scientific research and conducting exploratory and applied research in the field of molecular genetics to control the origin and assess the biodiversity of a wide range of farm animal species in order to develop effective conservation programs and improve breeding technologies in various sectors of animal husbandry.
The main activities of the Laboratory of genomic and post-genomic technologies in animal husbandry:
проведение геномных и постгеномных исследований наследственной и многофакторной патологии сельскохозяйственных животных использованием современных мультиомиксных технологий исследования генома, метилома, микробиома и транскриптома;
анализ больших массивов полученных экспериментальных данных (омиксов и кросс-омиксов) с помощью методов биоинформатики и ИИ для определения сетей взаимодействий генов, биохимических путей, выявления полигенных детерминант с целью разработки подходов маркерной и геномной селекции сельскохозяйственных животных.
